The latest article on the synthesis of novel (-)-cytisine derivatives by our scientific team

We are happy to announce a new publication by our scientific team: "Simple Synthesis of Complex Amines from the Diels–Alder Adducts of (–)-Cytisine" (Synthesis 2021, 53. DOI: 10.1055/s-0040-1706282).

As known, (-)-cytisine is a naturally occurring alkaloid that is an efficient acetylcholine agonist possessing a strong affinity to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). Different chemical modifications of (-)-cytisine were applied to obtain novel bicyclic compounds for rational drug discovery.

Carrying on research in this field, Life Chemicals can offer various derivatives of (-)-cytisine, including those involving chromone, coumarin, and other heterocyclic substructures that are to be used as both building blocks and compounds for biological screening.
